• You will speak excellent English and possess the ability to communicate with numerous types of people from varying walks of life.

• You will be physically fit with a fantastic work ethos, prepared to visit over 100 homes every day come rain, snow or shine.

• You will be a confident individual with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm, guaranteed to win the hearts and minds of others.

• You will possess the mental stamina needed to perform in this varied and challenging job role, remaining optimistic and resilient in the face of defeat.

As well as the four main qualities highlighted above you should also display fantastic communication skills. Your ability to substantiate an argument is absolutely necessary for this job, you will be strong willed and maintain your perspective but you should also be able to debate your points in a very non-aggressive and persuasive manner, gaining an individuals commitment to the charity and its work.

Wesser provides live-in accommodation for all of our fundraisers; for this reason your ability to interact well with others and your compatibility to live with other people from a range of different backgrounds is pivotal to your success as a fundraiser.  You cannot be just a good fundraiser; you have to be a great team player also.

The right qualifications are not necessary for this job role, what is necessary however is the type of person you are with the right personality. You do not need to be a stand up comedian, although a sense of humour certainly helps, but you must have something extremely special…
