On the 26th of April 2021 Wesser launched private site fundraising of behalf of our charity partner St John Ambulance. Johnathan Ukueku our Senior Regional Manager says ‘’it was a great start and we have received a good response from members of the public. The next aim will be to take site fundraising nationally and we are currently looking for fundraising managers to expand our teams’’.
Marketing and Development Manager Oliver Steele said: ‘’as the pioneers of face to face fundraising it is important that Wesser continues to grow and develop additional services that help us recruit more supporters for our prestigious charity partners. With the Wesser Private Site Fundraising Team launched in London this week I believe it helps further cement our place as the multi channel fundraising company of choice’’.
National Campaign Manager James Dennis explains how Wesser’s plan to launch private site fundraising on behalf of St John

Ambulance came together: ‘’over the years we have dabbled, V fest, Royal bath and West show and a couple of Donkey Derby but no real focus on it. The pandemic continues to be life changing but has also given opportunity. One such opportunity was when a brilliant bloke named Johnathan Ukueku applied for a Fundraising Manager position in London. We saw potential in Johnathan with his years of site and event fundraising and so, we interviewed and subsequently handed Johnathan the job and mission to set this arm of the business up. 5 months on, many zoom meetings and some serious graft from everyone involved; we launched our sites and events first official team. Headed up by Johnathan, 3 freshly trained fundraisers have worked this week at Fulham Broadway station. The public can not miss our well-presented site with an Annie doll centre of it all for people to do the ‘CPR challenge’ (can they do 2 minutes of CPR on an Annie doll). The results are coming, and we are already seeing the makings of a superstar Fundraiser in the making, named Maryum. I am so proud to have worked alongside Johnathan to launch this but thank you to everyone who has had a part to play in getting this off the ground. Sites and Events is now a big part of the Outstanding Service and Ethical Fundraising we do here at Wesser’’.
