Our Telephone fundraisers have smashed their yearly target already in June and now we are going for gold! Their dedication and hard work has really paid off. Despite of lockdown and Covid19 impacts they are in the midst of their best year since 2016!
Operations manager Joey Fisher is so proud of his team. Here is what he has to say: ‘’The craziness of 2020 seems to have been completely missed by the Telephone Fundraising Team as they have kept calm and carried on fundraising. They have adapted perfectly to working from home and have taken full advantage of a higher contact rate thanks to more supporters being at home themselves. During lockdown there were times when people were yearning for a conversation and I cannot think of many better people to have one with. Lorna, Kam, Micia, Scott and Denise have been outstanding this year as the team, expertly led by Clare and Gemma.
They have had their best year since 2016 before TPS and Opt-Ins wreaked havoc with the telephone fundraising world. They have taken on new challenges, such as one-off campaigns to support St Andrew’s First Aid charity work during the pandemic and hit every target that has been set for them.
Their annual target was hit in June… in JUNE! A massive well done and congratulations to everyone involved. It is a team effort, and everyone has worked so hard to raise sustainable income for our charity partners in what is the most challenging of times for the third sector. However, it’s important to temper expectations for next year as it is easy to get carried away, so if we achieve what we set out to this year then it will be a very successful year again. We’ll enjoy the moment though and know that thanks to the work of the team there will be more ambulances on the roads, more people trained in first aid and more cutting-edge equipment for the amazing volunteers. Well done everyone!’’
