Wesser attend the Scottish First Aid Awards

Events

Hi everyone, my name is Sophia and I work for Wesser as a student ambassador at the University of Glasgow. On the 15th November, I had the pleasure to attend the Scottish First Aid Awards, organised by St. Andrew’s First Aid (who we raise funds for for here in Scotland).

The day kicked off with lunch at the Pipers’ Tryst Hotel, giving me the chance to meet new colleagues and catching up with friends. After we all had filled our bellies with some Scottish specialities, we headed over to Bravehart Archery and Fencing for some team bonding. Although I was a wee bit sceptical at first, this proved to be an extremely fun experience (not only because of the ‘small’ dog who was there as well), with some of us revealing some hidden talents!

In the evening, we all attended the awards at the Hilton Hotel, which included some good food, good drinks and listening to some incredible stories about people going above and beyond to save another’s life. We all concluded the evening with a wee boogie on the dance floor – to everyone’s relief (and to my disappointment) there was no ceilidh, but they made up by playing some ABBA. All in all, I had an incredibly good time, enjoying the company of some friends I made fundraising over the summer and getting to know the people who manage Wesser in the UK. Thank you all so much for making this day an amazing experience!
